“For we walk by faith and not by sight.” II Corinthians 5:7
You may not realize this, but whenever you begin to walk by faith in God, you initiate something called MOMENTUM! That’s the stamina we have to keep us consistent in good times and bad. It’s because the Word of God is not just words. The Word of God is life, light and power that unites with our heart, where the life forces within the Word are released to reproduce after its own kind. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues (the wellsprings, the outgoings, and forces) of life!
We have pools of potential inside us that are just waiting to be released that will generate power and strength, courage and trust, and wisdom and understanding! These all work together to create something in us that I like to call… MOMENTUM! POWER IN MOTION! It’s the abiding truth that ignites us with the confidence and assurance that we “…can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.” Phil. 4:13
Momentum is defined both in physical and philosophical terms. But regardless of its application, it carries with it the idea of POWER IN MOTION; something that keeps us moving forward using the weight of Truth to keep propelling us through trials, temptations, hardships and valleys, until we get through them safely!
The Bible says it’s the Greater One in us! He (God) is Greater than the opposing forces of this world! Momentum can be the treasure in our earthen vessel to keep us going; the new creation! It can be the revelation that, “God is for us so who can stand against us!” It’s knowing that we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us! It’s the Truth, the Word of God and being a doer of the Word that gives us the spiritual Momentum we need to overcome and not be overcome, to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! When we have faith in our heart, we have Momentum in God, and we are more than conquerors… We are POWER IN MOTION!
