For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Have you ever wondered how very wealthy businesspeople became successful? Many of them will say that they were willing to do things others were not willing to do. Others say they got some good breaks, and others say that they envisioned a future that made as much room for them as they made room for that vision. But, regardless of the end results, both success and failure begin with the decision we make now. Your future, my future, everyone’s future begins today!

According to the Bible, God has some amazing plans for our future! AND – Everyone’s invited! That doesn’t mean everyone will except the invitation though. God doesn’t force His will on anyone. Jesus, Himself said that very few would find the gate that leads to life (Mt. 7:13). God has amazing plans for those who love Him, and those plans become a reality in us when God’s promises become a reality to us and we begin to implement them in our lives! That’s when the Bible becomes a new Book to us, and God’s plan will begin shaping our lives to accommodate the plans and future He has prepared for us!

1 Corinthians 2:9-10, tells us, “But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.”

This is where our walk of faith becomes exciting, challenging, and amazing! It’s also the most heart-fulfilling life available to mankind! It’s a life that only God can orchestrate and fulfill!

The moment we embrace God’s plans for us as they are revealed to us in the Word of God, we become connected to a very real, and permanent future that only those who know and love God will ever taste. It is simply hidden from unbelievers because they’re not looking for anything beyond their five senses.

The key is to BEGIN, some people say start somewhere. But if you want the future God has for you, you’ll have to start where God says to start: with the Word of God. If you do nothing with God’s Word, your future will reflect it, because you’ll miss God’s plans for the future He’s prepared for you, and you’ll miss the hope He has called you to. However, if you are a doer of the Word (James 1:22) your future will reflect it, and you will know and walk in the reality of a plan designed specifically for you by the living God!

Our past decisions, actions, allegiances and attitudes are always revealed by what the future brings, whether blessed and fruitful, or empty and wasted. When we arrive in our future our past will be evident, and there won’t be any back room deals or political influence that can change it. The future will be just, because it will be an exact portrait of what we decided to do with God’s Word, His thoughts, His plans, and His love for each of us!

With Love,

Pastor Tom
