“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:3

Even a casual glance through the Bible gives us strong convictions that words are powerful! Words have started wars! Words have created lifelong enemies. Words have been the source of many untimely deaths, and words have been the source of endless hostilities. Words have altered the course of nations, propagated lies, instilled fear, ruined reputations, formed destructive alliances, words have destroyed families, businesses, and healthy avenues of commerce. In short, WE FRAME OUR WORLD WITH OUR WORDS! The Book of James tells us that our words have the power to either bridle our whole body or defile our body. It also says that words set on fire the course of nature! Words are powerful!

Jesus Used His Words

When Jesus came to earth, He showed us how man was originally created to operate, how to exercise dominion and have authority in the earth – how did He do it? He did it with His Words! He framed His world with His Words! What were the results? This world, its forces, its resources, its political powers; and even the god of this world obeyed Him! When he spoke to demons, they had to obey Him. He spoke to the fig tree, the storm, even the dead – they all obeyed Him.

Check Your Words

Next time you feel like SAYING “My back is killing me! Or “I guess I’ll just be the first to get Covid.” Or, “I guess I’ll always be at the bottom of the totem pole. I never get any breaks!” Remember – you are framing your world with your words! Proverbs 6:2 says. “You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.” When we speak negative words about ourselves, we are releasing spiritual seeds that will reproduce after their own kind. Jesus said that words are seeds (Mark 4:14), and we know from the law of Genesis that seeds were created to reproduce after their own kind. Many have spoken words of defeat and failure over their lives, over their businesses, their families, and their future; and THOSE WORDS are actually holding them in bondage. Those bad (word) seeds eventually become the weeds that choke the Word of God, and we become unfruitful! (Mark 4:19)

Change Your Words – You’ll Reframe Your World?

This may seem like an oversimplification, but it’s true! If we Change our Words, we’ll Change our Harvests! Our outcomes will eventually conform to the new words we are speaking, words of life and blessing, health and strength, wisdom and courage, and we’ll be fighting FROM victory instead of fighting FOR victory! “The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart. That is the Word of Faith” (Romans 10:8)
