“…For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

When life no longer makes sense, we need to ask ourselves why! When life gives us more problems than answers, more deception than true direction, we need to ask ourselves, “Why?” When our lives are filled with one dismal day that seems worse every day, we need to ask ourselves, “Why?” Many have asked, “Where is God?”

I’m sure Joseph asked these questions when his own brothers sold him into slavery! I’m sure he wondered if God even cared when he was falsely accused of the attempted rape of his master’s wife. For 13 years he experienced many hardships, betrayals, false accusations, that seemed to compound with every passing day. Yet, the evidence that God was with him, demonstrated by the prison master, gave enough light to somehow keep him going. Did you know that same light lives in you too?

However, Joseph began to see light at the end of the tunnel in that very prison when he began to use his gifts of interpreting dreams to benefit others instead of promoting himself. When he was young, he, like all of us were filled with pride. But as Joseph grew in humility, he experienced the presence of God and subsequently became the most powerful man in Egypt, answering only to Pharaoh, himself! God promoted him from the pit to the palace in a matter of hours!

God is where He has always been! He’s never left you! When life seems dark it’s not because God departed. He loves you always. But pride blinds us so we can’t recognize Him. But, if we turn to Him with our whole heart, then He will promote us to His plan for our lives.

Isaiah 55:7 says, “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” He is with you and always ready… are you?

With Love,
