“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:” Hebrews 10:35-36

Many times, people pray and don’t see an answer right away, so they think God didn’t answer our prayer, concluding it wasn’t God’s will. No, Jesus said, “Ask and you shall receive.” Just because something hasn’t happened right away doesn’t mean that it’s not happening. This is where something else is needed. That something is called ENDURANCE.

The above scripture says that after we have done the will of God, we need endurance. Endurance is staying power! So, it’s evident that receiving answers to prayer involves more than just asking in faith and believing you have received. It may require supernatural endurance in order to receive the promise! An example of endurance is found in (Daniel 8:11-13). Daniel had prayed and then fasted for three weeks, before his answer came. Daniel’s prayer was delayed because demonic forces prevented this angel of God from reaching Daniel with his answer. But Daniel was determined, he was convinced that God would come through for him. He had no assurance, or physical evidence that God even heard him. He didn’t know if he was wasting his time or if anything would come of his prayer. Yet, his mind was set in an expectation that God would answer him. This is what is known in the realm of faith as – ENDURANCE!

Endurance is fueled by several things, but it begins when we have set our EXPECTATIONS to the point where they become a mindset! Have you ever wondered what your future would be like if you gave up and quit on your prayers? On your Hopes? On your calling? On your vision?  When our expectations become our mindset, it can literally alter our future and our eternal rewards! Or, we can just quit and roll over with the rest of the world.

So, instead of throwing away your confidence in God, the choice is always vibrantly living when we choose to keep standing, keep believing, keep speaking The Word of God and walking in faith! This is not the advice of an empty fool It’s what the Bible says is ours to do.

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” Hebrews 10:35-36
