\u201cThis book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein
day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.\u201d – Joshua 1:8<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to scripture, success doesn\u2019t just happen because God desires to bless us, or because
we are born again. Nor does it happen because we\u2019re educated, have a good lineage or because
we do everything right. Success is a result of principle. That principle is found in the above
scripture. Meditating on the Word of God. The term day and night means several things. First, I
believe it refers to the constant input of God\u2019s Word that keeps us anchored in God\u2019s Counsel
through the changing events, situations and challenges of each day. It\u2019s what keep us consistent
in an ever-changing world. Second, I believe it keeps our mind in tune with God\u2019s voice, and our spirit open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are people who are financially successful in the world who are atheists. But it seems they
never have enough. That\u2019s because we are not merely flesh and blood. We are eternal spirits, and
this natural world cannot fulfill the needs of an eternal spirit. That\u2019s what makes monetary
wealth one of the lowest forms of true success. The verse above talks about GOOD success. Good
success is the fulfillment we receive in all areas of life; our marriage, our relationships with
others, our business and community connections. And primarily, it comes from knowing that we
are loved by God and experiencing His love. I John 4:16 says, \u201cAnd we have known and
believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we approach the New year of 2024, we can look at it through the eyes of media and become
troubled and filled with anxiety like those who have no hope. Or, we can keep the Word of God
in our heart and meditate on it day and night and see 2024 through the eye of faith; in the
unlimited ability of God to open doors that no man can open, and close doors that no man can
shut. As we meditate on the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, no matter what
happens in 2024, we will have the peace beyond understanding and the comforting voice of the
Holy Spirit, who will always lead us to green pastures and pure water. His peace will calm the storms in our minds and bring wholeness to every area of our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s how we will make our way prosperous and that is the very definition of Good Success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
