\u201cIt is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They
are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness.\u201d Lamentations 3:22-23<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re always hearing about God\u2019s love and compassion, but not experiencing it, it may not be
as far away as you may think. One of the enemy\u2019s favorite tactics is to get us to question God\u2019s
faithfulness. He knows that as long as we\u2019re busy \u201cquestioning\u201d God\u2019s faithfulness, our faith is
neutralized. And the love of God is something every believer needs to BELIEVE IN (I John 4:16).
Faith is what is needed to experience God\u2019s love and compassions, which are central to who God
is. His mercies and compassion are rooted in His love. It\u2019s our faith in God\u2019s unfailing
compassion that keeps us looking ahead with expectancy, rather than to the failures of the past.
As the above scripture indicates, it\u2019s our faith in God\u2019s mercies that keep us from being
consumed by evil. That\u2019s why the enemy does all he can to get us to question all of God\u2019s
attributes, especially where His mercy and compassion are concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word \u2018fail\u2019 in this scripture means to cease, terminate, faint, weaken, erode, or fade away.
Nothing about God or His attributes ever fades, erodes, or ceases. Malachi 3:6 says God
\u201cchanges not.\u201d Hebrews 13:8 says, \u201cJesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever!\u201d
The truth is that if anything about God ever did change, fade, expire or erode \u2013 even a little, He would not be God! Perfection has no need to change!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We experience His mercy when we begin to give in mercy. \u201cBlessed are the merciful, for they
shall receive mercy\u201d (Mt. 5:7). When we realize that we carry the very mercy we ourselves need,
it will change how we look at those mercy opportunities. We all need buckets of mercy and
buckets of compassion! That\u2019s why Jesus encouraged His disciples to forgive 7 times 70 daily, if
needed. In other words, if you\u2019re counting the times you\u2019ve forgiven someone, it defeats the
purpose. Instead of \u2018counting,\u2019 just adopt forgiveness, mercy, and compassion as a lifestyle. We
need to \u201c\u2026be doers of the Word and not hearers only!\u201d (James 1:22) It\u2019s not just hearing about
God\u2019s compassion, it\u2019s by doing it that will lead us to personally experience His endless
compassions that will never fail or fade away! That\u2019s when the scripture will cease to be a mere
concept. It will become a way of life that knows and believes that His compassions fail not!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
