\u201cTherefore, do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.\u201d Hebrews 10:35<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The challenges of life come in various forms and seem to intensify as the times and operations of the world change. Nothing takes God by surprise, however, and He sent His Word which carries all the answers and solutions we could ever need. That\u2019s why meditation on God\u2019s Word is so vital in preparing us so we\u2019ll be ready with those answers and solutions when the change of seasons present new challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David was prepared to kill a lion and a bear when they preyed upon his father\u2019s sheep. The very first Psalm he wrote says, \u201cBlessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night\u2026\u201d (Psalms 1:1-2) David<\/p>\n\n\n\n

meditated on the Word of God day and night. He even adopted a personal identity with the Word, and said, \u201cThe LORD is MY Shepherd\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust in God, which is an overwhelming confidence in God and His integrity, grows inside us as we meditate on the Word of God. That trust remains fixed, and overrides our natural senses when sudden challenges arise. When David saw Goliath and heard him railing against the armies of Israel it was his trust in God that remained fixed. That\u2019s when David became the change agent of Israel, and killed Goliath along with the entire Philistine army! (I Samuel 17)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a method that is guaranteed in scripture to establish us as the change agents in our present time as it did for David in his time. Very simply, it is meditation on the Word of God. David continued in Psalm 1, about the one who meditates day and night on the Word, \u201cHe shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.\u201d (Psalms 1:3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Word of God comes with the power in itself to produce in us the confidence and trust we need to overcome all the challenges we will ever face! God tells us not to cast away our confidence\u2026 it holds great rewards!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
