“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24
Prayer releases the ability of God in this physical world! His ability can be defined as the power to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think. And it all begins by asking and thinking in line with the Word of God. God has already provided many things for us in His Word, and praying His Word is one of the conduits that brings those provisions into the natural realm. Another way of saying it is that, prayer helps us tap into what God has already provided for us. Ministries in heaven are activated through prayer! When we learn to pray faith-filled prayers, we’ll see more power and more of God’s provisions manifest. James 5:16 puts it this way, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
Believe you Receive – When You Pray
A prayer principle that Jesus taught was, “…when you pray, believe that you receive…and you shall have…” (Mk.11:24) He DIDN’T say, “What things so ever you desire, pray for them and wait and see if God answers so you’ll know you have it when you see it.” No, that’s what many Christians do, but that’s not what Jesus taught. He said that we are to believe we receive WHEN WE PRAY! He said “…when you pray believe you receive… and you shall have…”
The principle of believing you receive when you pray applies to all manner of prayer – even praying in tongues. When we pray in tongues the Bible teaches us to pray that we may interpret. So, ask in faith – that is, believe you receive the ability to interpret WHEN YOU PRAY! Then our minds will become fruitful with spiritual truths and fresh revelation!
Prayer Works for Those Who Work Prayer
Prayer works for those who work prayer. It carries Power, Ability, Authority, Understanding, Wisdom, and Revelation into the very heart of our situations. Remember, prayer was designed to work for you – not by telling God all your needs over and over; but by making declaration of what His Word says about your need! There are a multitude of scriptures for every need you have in life and there is a promise for all of them. That’s why it’s important to pray the promises of God into your situation! “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!” (Phil.4:13)
The power of prayer is attested to throughout the Bible and is a God-initiated activity, instituted and sanctioned by God. Every person, no matter what their past mistakes were, whatever their current condition or mindset, if they’re terminally ill, or healthy and active; Jesus said, “For everyone who asks, receives…” (Mt. 7:8) What is it that YOU desire from God?
With Love,
