“Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning…” Isa. 46:9-10
There are many things that we will know about God one day, but for now, among those things He has shared with us, we know that He is faithful and true, and He loves us! Since God is faithful and true, we can be assured that whatever He speaks concerning our future can be trusted because He is good! God desires our trust, which is all He requires to fulfill His promises in our lives and give us a future beyond anything we can ask or even imagine… TRUST.
The above scripture says that God declares the END from the BEGINNING. God created us in His very image and likeness for a reason, because He desires that we operate the same way He does. In fact, that’s why He gave us His very own faith, so that our words would be empowered with the same power His words are – with Faith! When Jesus calmed the storm He SPOKE to it! Then He turned to His disciples and said, “How is it that YOU have no faith?” With that statement He made it clear that He expected them to have done the same thing He did! After all, wasn’t He leaving us an example to follow?
Many look at the problems they have, or the storms that are approaching, or the opposition they’re facing, or negative medical reports – and just brace for the worst! Are you going to allow an approaching storm, opposition, or a doctor’s report declare your end from the beginning? Or are we going to believe Him who is faithful and true by declaring His Words and His promises concerning our future? “What shall WE SAY to these things? If God be for us who can be against us?” Let’s begin with the declarations that “no weapon formed against us will prosper! Every tongue that rises against us shall be shown to be wrong! I can do all things through Christ because all things are possible to him who believes!”’ Now, mix those words with your faith like Abraham did, “he counted Him faithful who promised!
Now we’re ready to declare the outcome we desire, by agreeing with what God has said, and face every trial we encounter knowing we will win. That’s why we can “count it all joy,” because it will give us one more opportunity to declare the end from the beginning! One more opportunity to exercise our faith and become even stronger, giving glory to God!
With Love,
Pastor Tom
