“who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Colossians 1:13
Kingdom people are those who have been born into the kingdom of God by receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and by doing so, they are translated into a new kingdom and a new life that only Jesus can give. There is only one way to become a Kingdom person, and that is to be born into it. That’s when a transformation takes place in us that Jesus called the New Birth (John 3:3-7). That is the legal entrance into God’s Presence and Kingdom.
A good picture of this is when the children of Israel were delivered from bondage and slavery in Egypt and delivered through the umbilical channel of the Red Sea into the Promised Land. From oppression and bondage to the greatest deliverance of a nation in history! We, too, were delivered from the power of darkness, and into the Kingdom of God! By virtue of the new birth, we have been equipped and empowered to operate in the same Kingdom principles that Jesus operated in. After all, Jesus said, “…the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:21
There are many books written on how to operate in Kingdom Principles, and we can benefit greatly from them, yet we need to remember that those principles are rooted in the heart of a Person. That Person is your Heavenly Father, and His Spirit is your Guide, Teacher, and Revealer of all Truth. As we spend time in fellowship with Him, especially through the Word of God; and as we get to know Him and follow His lead, we will find ourselves walking in the Promises of God! When the Israelites received the Promised Land by inheritance, it was a prophetic picture of how the Body of Christ would inherit the Promises of God! Our New Covenant states, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1:20). Those promises have already been given to us as part of the New Testament and have become the common property of all those who have been born into the Kingdom!
