“Who has believed our report…?” Isaiah 53:1

The only way that a report can impact us is when we believe it! Any report that is not believed is just a report. It only becomes a message when it is believed! There are reports about us in the Bible that God has already signed off on, yet many don’t believe them, so they remain filed in our memory somewhere like seeds that were never planted. But the moment we believe God’s report about us, it’s no longer just a report – it’s life to us and medicine to all our flesh!

When we believe what God says about us, inner conflicts are resolved, and change comes!

When our body says it’s sick, but the Word of God says you were healed by His stripes, that’s a conflict. Are you ready to believe His Report? When our natural minds say it’s impossible, but the Word of God says all things are possible to him who believes, are you ready to believe His report? When provisions are low and our future looks bleak, and the Word of God tells us that God gives us richly all things to enjoy, are you ready to believe His report? So, what do we do with conflicting reports like these?

First: we need to acknowledge that if we are not experiencing what the Word of God promises, the problem isn’t with God – the problem is with us. That’s not something to get condemned over. That’s why God gave us His Word – to correct us, not to condemn us (II Timothy 3:16). We all need correction continually. So, if we are experiencing a conflict or discrepancy, we need to know where to start – with ourselves.

Second, we need to find out what God’s Word says about our situation and apply those scriptures. This is called meditating on the Word, which allows the Word to change our thinking and bring our thoughts into agreement with God’s thoughts! It doesn’t happen overnight, but if we CONTINUE, we will know the Truth and the Truth will make us free (John 8:31-32)! Many have asked, how long do I meditate on the Word? The answer is, until it starts speaking to you.

Third, we need to learn NOT to keep speaking the problem, but to keep speaking the desired result. Proverbs 6:2 says, “You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.” When we continue to speak the problem, we are actually speaking the words of the enemy, and those words – the words of OUR MOUTH – will continue to ensnare us and hold us in bondage.

Whether it’s healing and health issues, provisions, human limitations or lack in any form, everything we face is addressed in the Bible. But until we believe it, it’s just another report to be filed away. But when we believe it, it’s an open door to the One who is more than enough!

With Love,

Pastor Tom
