“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13
This verse tells us that hope fills us with joy and peace! If we don’t have joy in our hearts and peace in your lives, it might be time to inventory our HOPE. True Bible Hope never disappoints. Hope transforms us! Abraham walked in hope. Romans 4:18 tells us that against hope Abraham believed hoped! Colossians 1:27 tells us that the riches of the glory of the Gospel is “…Christ in you, the Hope of Glory!” People’s lives have been totally transformed by Hope, the God kind of Hope, which is a supernatural hope that brings joy and peace!
I was driving to the store recently and it seemed like Jesus just came in and sat in the passenger seat just to tell me that everything is going to be alright! That, my friend, transformed my trip to the store. Hope began to transform a mundane chore into a time of joy and peace!
God cares about everything we live through in this life; everything we do, the people we run into, even where we park our car! He desires to be involved in every part of our lives, and when we get that picture down in our heart Hope becomes a living, functional, and transforming power in our everyday life!
Without hope we cannot walk in faith, because, Hebrews 11:1 tells us that “faith is the substance of things hoped for.” Without hope faith has nothing to work with. That’s why the devil works overtime trying to destroy our hope and get us into depression. So, let’s make the devil mad and Jesus glad and believe in hope like Abraham did, and receive the promises that God has deposited in the New Testament for us to access by faith. If we ask God for Hope, He will give it to us! The kind of Hope He gives will transform our lives!
