“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” I John 4:4
One of the first hurdles to becoming God-inside minded is to understand four things.
1. We are Of God!
2. We are His Children!
3. We are Overcomers – NOT the overcome
4. The Greater One lives IN US!
We are of God!
In John 17:16, Jesus was praying in the Garden shortly before His arrest, and said, “They (us) are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” When we were born again, God, Himself separated us from this world and translated us into His kingdom! (Colossians 1:13)
We are His Children!
We can say with confidence, “I am a child of the living God!” I John 3:1-2 says, “…Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God.”)
We Are Overcomers!
When we received Christ as our Lord and Savior, His victories were credited to us. When we encounter opposition, temptation, or other difficulties, we can approach them from the standpoint of victory. We never have to fight for victory, but from victory because we are already overcomers! We are not the overcome – but Overcomers!
The Greater One lives in us!
We can also be confident when we encounter tests, trials, and temptations, the greater One, God Himself, is in us “…both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13)! His good pleasure is to defeat the enemy, to have total victory, and enjoy the complete redemption we have in Christ! One might ask, “What about impossible trials?” It doesn’t matter! He’s greater! He’s greater than anything, anyone, anytime – and He lives in you!

Here are a couple more scriptures to meditate on that will help you become God-inside minded!
“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27
“Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John 14:23
