“But the Lord said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house formy name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart”: 2 Chronicles 6:8

The above verse is a quote from Solomon, who had just been anointed King of Israel. He was telling the people something the LORD told his father, King David. “Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house formy name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart.” The LORD knew it was in David’s heart to do it. Yet, the LORD reserved that project for Solomon, whom He had created, designed, and equipped Solomon to fulfill.

Our hearts are busy places every moment of every day. God knows every thought, every motive, every intention, every desire, attitude, hurt, and complaint of the heart… He even knows every thought that hasn’t yet entered your heart yet, but will enter in – and He has already prepared you to handle each one of them in His peace.

The point is, God looks upon the heart. He looks into your heart. He created you with a purpose and plan that was already designed for you before you were even born. Psalm 23 tells us that He has “…prepared a table before us…” Did you ever stop to realize that He also has everything in place and ready to answer our prayers before we even think of praying? He has angels ready to respond to our declarations of faith (Ps. 103:20)!

Let me ask you, what’s going on in your heart? Have you asked God to reveal His plan for you? Have you considered surrendering all the traffic in your heart to Him and receive His counsel? Why wrestle with the uncertainties of life, when God knows everything there is to know about the future? As far as He is concerned… It’s Done on His End.

With Love,

Pastor Tom
