Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. II Corinthians 5:17

Have you ever wondered why you expect the things you do? Or where your expectations come from?

Have you ever noticed that our expectations are fueled by sources that have nothing to do with our future? Past experiences are simply that – in the past where they should stay. Our knowledge base is subject to change too with new information surfacing every day!

We are believers in the risen Christ! New creations in Christ! He has made all things new which is an ongoing process of wonder and discovery! Our past cannot dictate our future unless we allow it to.

Some have settled for low expectations because they have accepted facts as Truth. Yet, there is a huge difference between facts and Truth. A fact says once we are dead we are dead. The Truth, however, says we will all live eternally in the place of our own choosing. Jesus has invited all to receive eternal life, but if we choose to reject Him, we will be separated from God for eternity. Faith in the resurrection of Jesus resets our expectations to be confident that, “…with God all things are possible!” (Mark 10:27)

Once we fuel up on the Word of God (Truth; John 17:17) we begin to experience the freedom from limiting facts, and enter the kingdom of liberating Truth (John 8:32)!

We can’t change everything in a day, but the Bible says that the path of the righteous grows brighter and brighter until the full day” (Proverbs 4:18). Let’s stay on that path and let God work with us so we can be everything he created us to be!

With Love
