“And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place…” Exodus 13:3
Do you Remember the Day you were born again? Well, God sure does! That’s the day you became His very own child and He became your very own Father! That was the day you came out of satan’s house of bondage just like Israel came out of their bondage in Egypt. That’s the day your eternal future was connected with God’s life and power and blessing! That’s the day you became a child of the most powerful and loving person in existence and an heir of all He has given you! On that day you became as free from the devil as the children of Israel were from the Egyptians when the Red Sea closed over them – forever separating them from their past! That was the day your past and all it represented was blotted out and it no longer had power over you or your future!
That picture of Israel’s deliverance was a foreshadowing of the reality we have as Believers, where God “…hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13) – Oh! When Jesus defeated satan, he was as devastated as Pharaoh was when Israel went free! Pharaoh no longer ruled over them. He didn’t even matter to them any longer! And satan no longer rules over us! Our past, and everything about our past, the power of darkness and the dominion of satan over us was erased forever. Remember that day – that’s the day that you were delivered and set free and you became an heir of all of the promises and blessings of God!

Confession: The day I was born again was the day I came out of the house of bondage. I am no longer a slave to sin. I have been delivered from sin and its dominion. That’s the day I was delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of God, ruled by the Liberator of world! My enemy has been defeated and buried along with all my past! My past has no power over my future. I am moving forward with God into His promises of life, strength, power and blessing! I remember the day I was born again, and I have marked it as the beginning of my new life with God as my very own Father!
Prayer: Father I have come to understand things I never knew before. I know You will help me because Your Word says You will guide me into all Truth. I ask You for wisdom today to walk in favor with God and man and increase in understanding each day as I grow in the knowledge of truth. I believe in Your love for me. I believe You have equipped me with Your Spirit, Your Word, Your Faith, and I believe You answer all I request of You in prayer. Thank You Father for all You have done for me, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
