“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil” Hebrews 6:19
The above verse is a summation of the supernatural integrity of His Word, His Promise and His Oath to the people of Israel. God promised to bless Abraham and his descendants, and to show the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, He confirmed His Promise with an Oath, so that by these two immutable things, in which it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie, we might have an overwhelming comfort, and take refuge in God’s Promise, and lay hold of this supernatural hope that removes all fear, all doubt, and occupies our soul with a continual revelation of the Good Things we have in Christ!
This is the hope that WE HAVE! It’s not a hope we’re going to receive someday if we do everything right! No! This Hope was birthed into our spirit when we were born again. God is telling us that we have this hope as an anchor for our SOUL! Does your soul need an anchor? Mine does!
Our soul is made up of our mind, our will and our emotions. It’s where all our battles are won or lost. It’s also interesting that Jesus defeated satan at the Place of the Skull (Mt.27:33)! Jesus won that victory to put an end to the old thoughts of defeat, fear of death, bondage, hopelessness and toil, and replace it with the endless possibilities that only a supernatural hope could effectively act as the very anchor for our soul!
Romans 12:2 tells us that we are transformed by the renewing of our mind! That’s what supernatural HOPE does! It transforms us inside to see with our mind what we cannot see with our natural eyes! It helps us see beyond our natural senses and transforms our expectations, connects us with God, Himself, and accesses the God-kind of faith that moves mountains!
