“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19
The foundational Key of the kingdom of heaven is revelation knowledge. Revelation knowledge empowers us to unlock the power of God to destroy the gates of hell, and undo demonic plots and plans against the Body of Christ.
In Ephesians 1:17-23, the Apostle Paul prayed for believers that God would give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God…” Paul had received an awesome revelation, but Paul’s revelation wasn’t just for Paul, it was for all believers! In other words, Paul was telling us that by praying this prayer we also would be able to see what Paul saw in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
In the Gospels we read what happened to Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection from man’s standpoint, or according to what man saw. But Paul shows us more than man saw. His letters show us what happened to Jesus spiritually, and what happened to the demonic forces when Jesus was raised from the dead! In other words, he tells the story from God’s standpoint!
When Jesus was raised from the dead, it was the greatest display of power in the history of the universe! The reason is, God had to release enough power to undo everything Satan did in Adam and in us, and we experience that power in the new birth. In other words, “…what God did in Christ far exceeds any damage done to us from Adam’s fall” (Romans 5:20b: Lovett’s Translation).
If you are weak in faith or find that your dedication to God’s call on your life is continually faltering, leaving you with more questions than answers, then pray the Ephesians 1 Prayer (Ephesians 1:17-23). One of God’s Generals used to say, “If you pray the Ephesian prayer every day (preferably more than once a day) for six months, the Bible will become a new Book to you, and life will be different for you.” You’ll also find keys you never knew you had, and you’ll have the revelation to use them effectively. Those keys have been yours all the time, all any of us need is the revelation to: 1) walk in the supernatural hope of our calling, 2) gain access into the inheritance God gave us and, 3) have a working knowledge of the power of God in order to win broken, hurting, crippled and dying humanity to Jesus! The Keys Are in Your Hand…
