“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.” Mark 1:14

Jesus’ message wasn’t complicated. He preached the Gospel of the Kingdom of God! There are many preachers and denominations who have reduced Jesus’ message to only be about salvation. There are many who have added good works as prerequisites to Salvation. But if good works could save us, Jesus wouldn’t have had to come and pay for our sins!

Let’s look at the way Jesus taught it. In John 3, verses 3 & 5, Jesus said that the only necessity to enter into and see the Kingdom of God is to be born again! The New Birth is not saying prayers, going to church, doing good deeds, living a good life, going the extra mile, obeying the golden rule, or any of the other things people are depending on to save them. Nicodemus was a good man, but Jesus told him he had to be born again to enter the Kingdom of God! So, it all comes back to the message of the Kingdom of God! That’s where the power is to save mankind!

We get glimpses of the Kingdom of God when we read and meditate on scriptures. That’s when the scriptures open up to us and the Holy Spirit gives us understanding; then we begin to experience kingdom realities and Covenant promises of the New Testament! God said, in 2 Corinthians 1:20, “that all the promises of God in Him (in Christ) are yes, and Amen!” That’s ‘Bible’ for saying that all the

Promises of God already BELONG to us! God has not limited our redemption to include only salvation. So, faith in Jesus, and trusting Him for our salvation is the door to the Kingdom and ALL of God’s Promises, Blessing, Benefits, and Provisions! THAT’s… The Good News of the Kingdom of God!

Any other message is not the Kingdom of God message. Paul said, in Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…”

And, by the way, once you’re saved, it is your Father’s Good Pleasure to give you the Kingdom!” (Luke 12:32)

Remember, the Kingdom of God is where the power is. And… the message of the Kingdom is what brings the manifestation of everything God has promised to ALL who believe.

With Love,

Pastor Tom
