“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”  I Corinthians 4:20

There is one instance in the Book of Acts that tells us many things about the power of the Kingdom of God. It was when Saul of Tarsus approached Damascus to arrest Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem for execution. Instead, Saul got a full dose of the power of the Kingdom of God on several levels.

First, the power of God hit him so hard he fell helpless to the ground. Second, he was blinded from the light of the glorious appearing of Jesus! Third, the words Jesus spoke cut into his heart so deep so as to separate him from his evil objectives for power and prestige in the Jewish religion.

In other words, the Light of Truth exposed his darkness! Paul came into direct contact with the Kingdom of God and the King of His Kingdom!

Three days later he witnessed a magnificent order to the Kingdom when a man named Ananias came to him with information that could have only come from the Holy Spirit, saying, “Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto you in the way as you came, has sent me, that you might receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 9:1-31) Ananias laid hands on him, prayed for him, and Saul’s eyes were opened, he was filled with the Holy Spirit, and, then he ate after three days of fasting from food and water. Paul knew he was experiencing a very organized and powerful system that revealed how weak, empty, futile and worthless his life had been!

Have you ever wondered what a few minutes with Jesus in His glory will do for you? God is no respecter of persons. Paul left us a map to get us into the revelation center! It’s the Prayer he wrote for us to follow in Ephesians 1:16-23. Kenneth Hagin prayed that prayer three times a day for 6 months when he began to receive real revelation, wisdom, understanding, and visitations from the Head of the Church! From that time on the Bible was a different Book to him. His life entered a new phase that went from faith to faith and glory to glory! So can yours!

Read the words of people who received from God and do what they did.  Your life will change like Saul of Tarsus’s life did – later known as the Apostle Paul! He was well acquainted with the  power in the Kingdom of God! And the Gospel is powerful to all who put it to work in their lives!

With Love,

Pastor Tom
