“My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.” Psalms 89:34
If you think there’s a lot going on in the world, think again; because there’s a lot more going on in the Kingdom of God! By the way, the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21)! It’s never a good time to become distracted by world events. Jesus told us in Matthew 24 that these times would come! Deception, Rumors, Wars, Betrayal, False Prophets, and lawlessness are just a few of the signs that mark the end of days. Add to this list the growing confusion, turmoil and uncertainties that follow.
Yet, the one constant we have is the solid rock of the Word of God. It will weather the storms, the floods, and the winds of rising and falling governments.Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Luke 21:33)
This brings up something called the Principle of the Word of God. Once God says something, He doesn’t change it. And, because of the eternal nature of His Words, they are more than mere words of philosophy and opinions. They become the very authority to which everything else answers to! In other words, when God speaks, His Word becomes the spiritual law that governs all the laws of the physical realm. You may recall what happened when Jesus said, “Peace, be still!”
The principle of the Word is simply this: Everything was created by the Word of God, therefore, everything is subject to the Word of God. So, no matter what events are shaping up in the world, no matter what threats of lawlessness, wars, or terrorist attacks, we have been given the license to use the Word of God the same way Jesus did. (He is our example!) We were licensed to use the Word of God when Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!” (Matthew 4:4) After all, the Word of God is the Word of God. It doesn’t lose its power because you start speaking it! It will not return to God void of accomplishing its purpose!
God’s Covenant will never be broken by God, and every Word that He ever spoke remains immutable, inalterable, and eternal! You can more than count on it – you can experience its Life and Power when you adopt His Word as your way of life!
