“Because he hath set his love upon me… I Will…”
Many Christians go through life never knowing God’s will. Many don’t believe that it’s possible to know the Will of God! That’s primarily because their belief system was molded in a fallen world. But God gave us His Word so we can KNOW His will! In the letters to the Church, knowing the will of God, walking in His will, praying in His will, standing in, and fulfilling His will are literally all over the New Testament. His desire is for His children to know His Will!
Here are just a few things God has to say about His will in just one of the Psalms.
Psalms 91:14-16
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble; I will… honor him.16 I will satisfy him with long life,And I will show him My salvation.”
If you want to know God’s will – it’s given to us in His Word. And experiencing His will begins by setting our love upon God. God is love, and His children who walk in love, walk in God! The promises above are for anyone who will simply take God at His Word. If He promised anything in His Word, it’s not just for a select few. It’s for ALL who will come to Him with a heart full of faith and love!
Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge, my Fortress, my God – in Him I will Trust!” If you want to experience God’s will, then start declaring it to be your reality! You’re going to have to say these things! The more talk about our problems the bigger they get. The more we believe God’s Word is True, the more answers we’ll have.
After all, what are problems compared to God’s power? Are they greater than God? Are the chains of sickness, bondage and fear stronger than God’s power to deliver? No!
We have a great gift in the Word of God that allows Him to mobilize His Will in our lives. He simply needs our cooperation.
He is your Refuge and Fortress. He is greater than your problems and He gives you strength to overcome weaknesses. You can Trust Him! He’s your Father…!
