“And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed. Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.” Acts 14:8-10

Is it possible for someone to have faith and not be healed? Yes it is! Paul saw this man and perceived that he had faith to be healed. Yet, the man was still paralyzed. The man received faith when he heard Paul preaching the Gospel of healing, but until he acted on it, his faith remained inactive. Paul perceived that he had the faith to be healed, and when Paul yelled out with a loud voice, and said, “GET UP!!!” He leapt up and walked!

There is a starting line to receiving anything from God, and it’s faith. Faith in what? Faith in God’s Word! That’s when the impossible is suddenly possible! That’s when incurable becomes a thing of the past! Faith is the ability to do what is impossible!

2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “We having the same spirit of faith according as it is written, I have believed, therefore have I spoken; we also believe and therefore speak!” Until we act on our faith, by doing or speaking our faith it remains as a seed that never got planted – inactive! But, when we act in faith, our faith has free course to produce in us everything God has said!

Next time you pray, read Mark 11:24, which says, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” God loves it when we take Him at His Word! When His Word becomes the starting line of our prayers and our actions, our dormant faith becomes a living faith!

With Love,

Pastor Tom
