“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (I Corinthians 10:13)
God has an excellent track record when it comes to making a way of escape for those who are being tempted, tested, and tried by the devil. The enemy is exercised in knowing how to bring the pressures of life, sinful trends, and fear of all kind to our door. Some people say that opportunity knocks once, but temptation leans on the doorbell! But God’s supernatural power is greater!!
One great temptation came to Joseph in the form of Potiphar’s wife. He fled! She lied, and through a series of events God supernaturally brought Joseph before Pharoah, himself. Pharaoh was desperately seeking the interpretation of two dreams that were greatly troubling him, and God gave Joseph the interpretation and the wisdom to implement a plan that would spare Egypt from the drought that was about to come upon the whole land. Within moments Joseph was promoted to the highest position in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh, himself! God provided Joseph a way out… supernaturally!
God made a way out for Daniel when he gave him the interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. The King had sworn to kill all the wise men, sorcerers and magicians in Babylon – including Daniel – If there was no one to tell him both his dream and its interpretation. God Gave the interpretation to Daniel and he was promoted to the highest position in Babylon, second only to King Nebuchadnezzar! God provided Daniel a way out… supernaturally!
The devil has always sought ways to steal the Word of God from off the face of the earth; kill God’s people and destroy the Church! If he can’t destroy the church, he’ll try to disempower us! He’ll tell us the Holy Spirit stopped working miracles. That is a lie! Then he’ll try to gather up people to persecute the church! The devil had Peter thrown into prison (Acts 12) and scheduled for execution the next morning, but God made a way out! He sent an angel to break Peter out of prison! God provided a way of escape… supernaturally!
When we experience these obstacles and adversity, we have to remember that God is a supernatural God who loves us, and He has answers, solutions, and a way out! He is always looking to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts belong to Him. It’s in these times of temptations, tests and trials that we need to focus on God’s supernatural ability and be open to His leading. We also need to be prepared for the greatest escape yet! The ultimate Way Out for believers will be the Rapture of the Church! It’s the next major event of the Church Age! It’s the culmination of God’s heart’s desire to have us with Him! And we should comfort one another with this wonderful truth!
God always makes a way of escape – a way out for His people!
