“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem God fulfilled the prophetic words He uttered in the Garden
of Eden after Adam’s fall, concerning the Messiah He would send into the world to bring about
His great plan of Redemption. Today there is a sea of Biblical knowledge at our fingertips,
promises that He longs to fulfill in our personal lives, Blessings He longs for us to experience
and walk in, Benefits and Gifts that He desires to share with us, and it is all wonderful beyond

our imagination and expectations!

Yet, God’s ability to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think depends upon the
power that works in us. Actually, according to the power that we allow to work in us. Remember,
God doesn’t force His will or power on anyone. We need to step up and take it by faith!
When Gabriel came to Mary and told her that God had chosen her to bring the Son of God into
the world, she could have refused. Instead, she said “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it
unto me according to thy word.” She allowed the power of God to work in her, and Jesus was
conceived. When Joseph found out Mary was pregnant, he was troubled, but Gabriel told him
that it was God, and not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. He could have refused, but allowed
the power of God to work in him to the point where he risked his life, according to Jewish law,

by standing with Mary and taking her to be his wife.

If you have been born again, that same Person, who was born in Bethlehem, lives in you! You
have His power in you. His power is put in operation by agreeing with God in your words, in
your actions and in the obedience of your heart! And, it is according to the working of that
power that God is able to do exceedingly above all you can ask or think! Realizing this, I hope it
lights up your expectations as we turn into the Christmas Season. I pray you set your
expectations higher then ever! Expectations for family members to receive Christ; expectations
for our nation to turn back to God; expectations for overcoming things in life that need to go,
building into your life the gifts, blessings, and benefits of God! Remember, He is able…
according to the power that works in you! Let’s expect the most powerful Christmas ever and
begin to sow words of faith toward that desire. God will meet you there with His ability to make

it happen!

With Love,
Pastor Tom
